Changan Q05 Pre-Shipment Reinspection and Handover

A Q05 pre-shipment review checks whether the accepted vehicle still matches its purchase file after preparation, storage and movement. It is not a substitute for the original comprehensive inspection or a guarantee against hidden faults. Compare dated evidence before carrier handover, particularly where keys, charging equipment, software access or agreed repairs may have changed since acceptance. Keep BEV and PHEV preparation requirements distinct.

Reconcile an accepted Q05 after preparation and storage with its VIN, equipment, condition, charging records, keys and shipment documents.

01

Start from the accepted VIN and evidence baseline

Collect original identity records, inspection findings, photographs, preparation agreement and the purchase equipment schedule. Establish who conducts the handover review and what access is available. Do not compare the actual car with a brochure or an earlier shortlist candidate. Any original limitations remain limitations until suitable evidence resolves them. A later walkaround cannot silently turn an incomplete inspection into full approval. The review should identify the accepted generation, market, steering and energy system, then describe changes against a coherent dated file rather than create a new unsupported sales description immediately before the vehicle leaves.

02

Reconcile included equipment and ownership access

Check actual keys, charging hardware, manuals, wheels, removable equipment and any other scheduled items. The charger-bundle file helps identify what was promised rather than merely photographed. Verify supported app-account transfer evidence where relevant, keeping private credentials out of the public record. A substitute item requires identity and acceptance review, not an assumption that similar appearance means equivalent use. Record unconfirmed regional services explicitly. Preserve the final equipment configuration for the receiving buyer and carrier; do not leave arrival to reconstruct which items should have accompanied the car or which demonstration accounts were supposed to be removed.

03

Verify agreed preparation with suitable evidence

Match work records and supporting findings to the accepted scope. Where necessary, obtain qualified functional assessment after material work rather than treating an invoice as proof that every symptom is resolved. The inspection file defines the underlying technical questions. For PHEV candidates, engine-side work needs its own relevant evidence; BEV observations cannot approve it. Do not perform risky improvised high-voltage or road tests for the sake of handover. Record method, result and untested areas. If a significant new concern appears, obtain a fuller suitable assessment instead of forcing it into a narrow pre-shipment checklist and releasing the vehicle unchanged.

04

Review intervening storage and movement changes

Compare visible body, tyres, leaks, warnings and other relevant observations with the original record using appropriate safe access. The 12-volt storage guide addresses wake-up and accessory-load questions but is not a complete traction-battery assessment. Ask about workshop or yard movements and record reported events without guessing their cause. Keep any charging observations tied to system and conditions. A successful start does not establish that every battery, engine or electronic function remains healthy. The useful outcome is a dated description of what changed and what was actually checked, not a broad guarantee based on a short stationary demonstration.

05

Confirm carrier preparation and the document file

Have the responsible agent confirm the actual energy-system declaration, configuration, dimensions and required preparation for the proposed service. Use the shipping guide without asserting one universal rule for all electrified vehicles. Reconcile consignee and movement documents through the responsible parties and retain only appropriate private transaction information. If changes affect carrier acceptance, resolve them before handover. Dated condition evidence should match the actual stage and VIN. Ask how it fits the real policy and trade-term scope; photographs can support a record but do not guarantee reimbursement or prove every customs and carrier condition has been met.

06

Resolve mismatches and preserve the final handover record

Compare findings with the actual acceptance process and obtain written agreement for permitted changes. Pause a material identity, equipment or condition discrepancy rather than silently shipping it and expecting arrival to settle the disagreement. Preserve dated evidence, observations, limitations and relevant handover acknowledgement for the arrival and first-month review. A substitute VIN requires a new acceptance file. This gate reduces avoidable surprises but does not guarantee the absence of concealed defects, transport events or future failures. It is a documented comparison of the particular accepted Q05 before the next movement stage, with responsibilities defined by the transaction rather than this general guide.

07

Buyer approval checklist

Use these fields as a candidate-specific decision record. Assign each unresolved item before approving payment or shipment.

  • Accepted identity and inspection baseline
  • Included keys, hardware and access reconciled
  • Agreed preparation suitably reassessed
  • Storage and movement differences recorded
  • Carrier documentation and dated handover evidence

Changan Q05 Pre-Shipment Reinspection and Handover: buyer questions

Does this replace the original comprehensive inspection?

No. It checks changes and agreed work against the accepted baseline. Significant new concerns may require a fuller qualified assessment.

Do shipment photographs guarantee an insurance payment?

No. Evidence is considered under the actual policy and claim process. Confirm scope and responsibilities with the relevant professionals.
