Plan Q05 arrival checks, first charging, account handover and service baseline. Separate transport condition from battery, software and PHEV maintenance.
Record arrival condition before cleaning or reset
Photograph the exterior, accessible underbody, odometer, warning messages and supplied equipment. Compare the VIN and condition with loading records. Note missing cables, keys or documents immediately and follow the relevant carrier or insurer reporting process where damage is suspected. Use the Q05 shipping guide to understand the handover record. Do not erase faults, reset accounts or wash away evidence before the delivery check is documented. If high-voltage damage, fluid leakage or a serious warning is suspected, use qualified assistance rather than attempting to drive or charge the vehicle.
Recover low-voltage and storage-related functions
Check the 12V system through an appropriate technician if wake-up or ready-state behaviour is abnormal. Repeated jump starts can hide the cause of a weak or draining battery. The Q05 storage and wake-up guide separates battery reserve, sleep behaviour and module faults. Set tyre pressures correctly, inspect for transport damage and have brakes checked for persistent corrosion or drag. A long sea journey does not automatically mean every battery or tyre must be replaced, but neither does a successful first start establish that the car is ready for unrestricted use.
Make the first charging session controlled and documented
Use a verified compatible installation or station and inspect visible inlet and cable condition before connection. Follow the vehicle and equipment instructions. Record start state, messages, energy delivery and normal termination. Do not improvise adapters to overcome a compatibility surprise. The home-charging plan or public-network access check should already exist before arrival. If the session fails, preserve the exact error and investigate the station and vehicle systematically rather than assuming the traction battery is defective.
Complete ownership and software handover carefully
Inventory both keys where supplied, confirm the agreed owner-account transfer and remove previous personal data through supported procedures. Keep regional service limitations explicit. A factory reset may not release a remote account and can remove useful settings or evidence, so establish the correct process first. Ask the support provider which functions are available for this VIN and destination. Avoid unofficial software flashing to obtain a language or feature promised by a seller. A usable local interface and ordinary vehicle operation should be demonstrated independently of the seller’s personal phone or account.
Establish the correct maintenance baseline
Reconcile history with the exact manual and separate scheduled work from fault diagnosis. A BEV does not require engine-oil service, while the earlier PHEV still needs a combustion-system maintenance plan even when electric driving is frequent. Use the Q05 maintenance guide to identify fluids, filters, brakes, tyres and thermal-system tasks applicable to the vehicle. Ask the workshop to explain each proposed item. Do not accept one generic new-energy service package that treats both generations alike or promises that electric vehicles need no ongoing inspection.
Review the first month with measured observations
Keep a simple log of charging sessions, route distance, warnings, climate use and unusual behaviour. Do not interpret one unfamiliar range estimate as degradation; compare repeated conditions and seek diagnosis when symptoms persist. Recheck any repaired leak, software issue or charging fault through the responsible workshop. Save invoices and the next service date with the VIN. The end-of-month record should identify normal operating patterns, completed handover items and remaining support questions. If a seller promise has not been delivered, raise the specific evidence promptly rather than allowing it to disappear into routine ownership conversation.
Buyer approval checklist
Use these fields as a candidate-specific decision record. Assign each unresolved item before approving payment or shipment.
- Arrival photographs and loading-record comparison
- Low-voltage, tyre and brake recovery check
- Verified first charging session
- Keys, account and supported-language handover
- Generation-specific service baseline and observation log

Should I factory-reset a newly imported Q05 immediately?
Not before preserving delivery and diagnostic evidence and confirming the supported ownership-transfer process. A reset does not necessarily release an existing remote account.
Does a BEV and PHEV need the same first service?
No. Some chassis and electrical checks overlap, but the PHEV adds engine and fuel-system maintenance while the BEV has its own configuration-specific requirements.
