Transfer a NEVO or Qiyuan Q05 App Account Safely

A seller opening a Q05 app proves only that a particular account currently accesses particular functions. It does not establish that the next owner can register, pair the vehicle or retain service after export. The global BEV and earlier China-market PHEV may involve different app arrangements. Keep account transfer, physical-key handover and destination eligibility as separate checks, and never exchange passwords or identity documents through a public enquiry form.

Check Q05 app ownership, previous-user access, regional eligibility, vehicle pairing and physical-key handover without assuming connected services transfer.

01

Identify the correct app and regional service

Ask for the original market, app name, publisher, supported phone platform and official registration route for the candidate. Verify the download source through the applicable manufacturer or authorised distributor rather than accepting an installation file sent by an unknown account. Record regional phone-number or identity requirements as unresolved until the buyer can satisfy them legitimately. A successful installation is not proof of vehicle pairing or remote functions. The Q05 software and connectivity guide distinguishes app access from language, navigation and phone integration. Do not borrow a BEV demonstration to promise equivalent services on an older PHEV.

02

Confirm how the former owner relinquishes access

Use the official ownership-transfer or unbinding procedure applicable to the original market. Ask who must initiate it, what evidence is required and whether a distributor must assist. Do not assume a touchscreen factory reset removes a previous remote account: the vehicle and a server-side account may be separate records. Retain a dated confirmation of the steps completed without storing the former owner password. If the seller cannot explain the procedure, ask the relevant service provider before payment. Preserve normal access through physical keys while the matter is investigated. An unresolved transfer should remain visible in the purchase record rather than being replaced by a verbal promise.

03

Test the buyer account without sharing credentials

Where legitimate transfer is supported, the buyer should use their own phone and credentials to complete the official process. Demonstrate only the agreed functions while protecting personal information in screenshots. Record which actions work locally, which depend on internet service and which remain unavailable. A service trial in the origin country does not prove destination availability, so state where the test took place. Avoid obtaining third-party remote access or bypassing regional restrictions as a substitute for supported ownership. The overseas support guide helps establish who can assist when account or vehicle records disagree.

04

Separate remote convenience from essential operation

Check the supplied physical keys, door access, vehicle starting and normal charging controls independently of the seller app. Establish how the owner operates the car if a phone is lost, a data service expires or an account becomes unavailable. Do not promise continued remote control just because local vehicle operation works. Likewise, a failed pairing does not automatically diagnose a vehicle hardware defect: account status, network coverage and service eligibility are separate possibilities. The 12V battery and wake-up checks address electrical symptoms that should not be confused with an app problem. Record observations before proposing repairs or software changes.

05

Remove personal records through the supported process

At handover, agree what personal material is removed from the infotainment system, such as phone pairings, navigation destinations and user profiles, without deleting records needed for inspection. Use the manufacturer-supported method and preserve relevant version information first. Ask how remote permissions and shared users are revoked rather than merely hiding their names in a local menu. A buyer should not inherit another person phone number or account as the normal ownership solution. Keep any request for identity verification within an agreed official secure channel. The enquiry privacy policy explains why the initial sourcing form is not intended for sensitive account documentation.

06

Document the transfer boundary and open exceptions

The handover record should identify the VIN, physical keys, applicable app, former-user removal status, buyer pairing result and the region where functions were tested. Name the service provider for unresolved steps and avoid a blanket statement that all connected features work worldwide. If the buyer accepts unavailable convenience functions, record that choice explicitly and keep it separate from any vehicle condition fault. Reopen the check after a candidate substitution. Use the pre-delivery inspection guide to carry the account exceptions into final approval and the arrival checks to retest supported functions at the destination.

07

Buyer approval checklist

Use these fields as a candidate-specific decision record. Assign each unresolved item before approving payment or shipment.

  • Official app and candidate market verified
  • Supported unbinding process confirmed
  • Buyer account tested without password sharing
  • Physical-key operation checked separately
  • Transfer exceptions written into handover

Transfer a NEVO or Qiyuan Q05 App Account Safely: buyer questions

Does resetting the screen remove every previous-user permission?

Do not assume so. Confirm the applicable account-unbinding process and remote-access status through the official service route.

Does a working seller app guarantee it works after import?

No. Ownership transfer, regional registration and connected-service availability require separate checks.
