NEVO Q05 99 kW and 120 kW: Match the Export Specification

The international NEVO Q05 name does not identify a single motor-power specification. Changan Thailand publishes a domestic-market specification and separately links a 99 kW export-model sheet. That difference matters when comparing quotations, insurance records and destination paperwork. Neither a translated listing nor a dashboard photograph establishes the actual homologated configuration. Establish the market record and candidate identity before comparing performance.

Separate the Thai 120 kW NEVO Q05 reference from the official 99 kW export sheet and verify motor power, market documents and the quoted vehicle.

01

Read the two official sheets as separate records

The Thailand domestic reference lists 120 kW motor power. The manufacturer page also explicitly identifies export models outside Thailand with 99 kW peak motor power and links a separate specification sheet. Keep each source attached to its stated scope. This is evidence of a market-specific distinction, not evidence that any vehicle offered online is one of those configurations. Do not convert the difference into an unsupported claim about software unlocks, mechanical interchangeability or eligibility in every country. Ask the seller which official document governs the quoted VIN. The Q05 specification guide retains the broader dimensional and battery reference without erasing this distinction.

02

Reconcile the seller description with candidate documents

Request the production label, registration or origin record, conformity documentation where applicable, and a specification statement tied to the VIN. Have conflicting units explained: kilowatts and metric horsepower are not interchangeable labels, and rated, peak and continuous figures may refer to different fields. Preserve the original language and field heading rather than translating everything into a single power number. Ask a destination registration professional which documentary figure is relevant there. If a seller only provides a generic brochure, mark power identity unresolved. The Q05 export-document guide helps connect the specification decision to the shipment record and commercial scope.

03

Do not assume the rest of the equipment is identical

Two motor-power references do not prove equal trim, connector hardware, driver-assistance equipment or connected-service support. Compare the named market and grade on each offer, then verify fitted equipment on the candidate. Inlet photographs, tyre labels, cabin controls and service documentation address different questions and should not be replaced by one sales screenshot. Use the Max versus Ultra equipment guide for a disciplined feature check, with the understanding that those names also belong to a particular market. Treat missing or ambiguous features as open items, not as benefits implicitly included with the higher power figure.

04

Use a road test to assess condition, not certify power

A normal authorised road test can reveal drivability concerns, warning messages, unusual noise and inconsistent response. It cannot reliably certify peak motor output from subjective acceleration or a short phone video. Traffic, battery state, temperature, load and tyre condition all affect what a driver experiences. Avoid unofficial performance tests or attempts to disable safety controls. Where power identity remains disputed, resolve the documentation or obtain an appropriate professional assessment rather than asking a seller for a more dramatic demonstration. The brake and regeneration road-test file covers repeatable condition observations that are useful without pretending to measure rated power.

05

Compare cost only after the configuration is clear

A lower vehicle price may reflect a different market specification rather than a discount on the same car. Build a comparison containing market, power-document basis, trim, steering side, condition, mileage, charging package and delivery boundary. Separately record destination costs, documentation gaps and any service limitations. Do not estimate a resale penalty or premium without local evidence. For a fleet, consult the intended insurer and registration specialist before adopting one configuration across the order. The Q05 quotation-comparison worksheet is designed to keep specification differences visible rather than hiding them inside a single delivered-price total.

06

Approve one written specification boundary

Before payment, the quotation and vehicle schedule should agree on the actual specification and the evidence used to identify it. Attach both official references only where they help explain the distinction; identify which applies rather than leaving the buyer to guess. State who will resolve remaining conformity, insurance or service questions. Never approve a promise that a lower-rated variant will become another configuration later without manufacturer-backed evidence and destination acceptance. If the seller substitutes a different VIN, reopen the comparison. Keep the approved version with the current Q05 sourcing brief so subsequent inspection, loading and handover use the same vehicle identity.

07

Buyer approval checklist

Use these fields as a candidate-specific decision record. Assign each unresolved item before approving payment or shipment.

  • Domestic and export references kept separate
  • VIN-linked power documentation obtained
  • Units and rating fields reconciled
  • Fitted equipment independently checked
  • Quotation and destination records agree

NEVO Q05 99 kW and 120 kW: Match the Export Specification: buyer questions

Does the Thai 120 kW sheet describe every exported Q05?

No. Changan also publishes a separate 99 kW export reference. Verify the applicable configuration for the quoted vehicle.

Can a road-test video prove the rated motor power?

No. Driving conditions affect acceleration; use the appropriate vehicle documents to establish the rating.
